Dr. John “Jack” Carlisle

My mission is to keep patients active, fit, and comfortably on the move.

I am a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a special interest in hip arthroscopy and sports medicine, including complex knee and shoulder surgery.

Prior to joining OSMCKC, I completed a sports medicine and hip arthroscopy fellowship at the Steadman-Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado. I completed both medical school and my Orthopaedic residency at Washington University in St. Louis. My undergraduate degree was earned at Duke University.

Keeping current with medical advancements is important to me, which is why I am a member of both the AOSSM (American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

I am an active member of the United States Ski and Snowboarding Team Physician Pool. I also contribute to the care of athletes on both the local and national level.

Outside of the office, I enjoy golf, playing basketball with my kids and fly fishing.
